Leaders in Training (LIT) Program

The Leaders-In-Training (LIT) Program is open for campers going into 10th or 11th grade. A camper can only participate in the LIT program once per summer.

DEVELOPING YOUNG LEADERS

AGQ’s LIT program is designed to be the first step into the world of camp counseling.

LITs are given the opportunity and resources to gain leadership skills in the camp space in a variety of ways including planning all-camp activities, partnering with younger cabins to build connections, executing an all-camp brunch alongside the kitchen team, completing various service projects geared towards bettering camp, or engaging with the community, shadowing staff members to gain perspective, etc.

This program is a great introduction to our Leadership Pipeline Program that consists of Counselor-in-Training, Junior Staff, and eventually Full Summer hiring.

Reflection
& Self-Growth

For many, LIT summer is their final AGQ experience as a camper. Through teamwork and reflection, LITs leave ready to become leaders at camp and in their communities.
